Receivership

Chelsea Restoration Corporation in conjunction with the office of the Attorney General, Thomas Reilly and the City of Chelsea have joined forces to participate in a receivership program. This Commonwealth of Mass. petition will enhance enforcement of the state sanitary code and provide an innovative vehicle to appoint a receiver of the property during the enforcement procedures of bringing the property up to code.
This venture provides a safe property for the neighborhood and another property is added to the tax books.


The receivership program has a proven track record in the City of Chelsea restoring three two-family, and one three-family home which have been sold to a First Time Home Buyer by form of a lottery.

* Must be a First Time Home Buyers * Attend First Time Home Buyers Workshops and receive Certificate * Household Income Limits: (1)$46,300, (2)$52,950, (3)$59,550, (4)$66,150, (5)$71,450, (6)$76,750, (7)$82,050, (8)$87,350 * Rents must remain affordable * Must occupy property as primary residence * Affordable housing restrictions apply
